Caught the glance from the corner of his eye. Tapping his finger along the table he snorted a bit.

pushing him away she went and sat down next to veemon. "h-hey.....he's drunk....just relax."she said as she placed a hand on his back. it wasn't long before j.p sat next to her telling the old stories of when they used to date going into detail. everyone but koji ignored him, but everynow and again doru would look over to veemon to see how he was doing. "heya babe....remember that time when we got alittle....hot."he slurred. "I'd rather not..."she groaned not noticing his hand was snaking down her back to her butt.

Gripping the edge of the table he felt the wood splinter, he tensed at the hand on his back. Looking across to J.p he scoffed, "Hey remember that day you got punched in the face?" He questioned drly.

"look guys...I think we should just chill...."doru sighed trying to keep the peace. "how can I chill when the hottest woman around is right next to me?" j.P asked as he grabbed her butt making her jump up with a blush. "okay okay not cool!!" she squeeked. j.p laughed. "the day I got punched in the face....wasn't that you koji? I don't think I remember you little dude.....you a friend of the sexy fox?"he asked pointing to doru.

"Yeah and I'd like you to meet a friend of mine." Stepping across Doru he aimed to nail j.p right in the face.

blinking she watched veemon. "c-c'mon....its not that bad..."she said trying to calm him down. "a friend? you really wanna take me on??"he asked spirit evolving into beetlemon. "bring it!"he laughed.

Clenching his fist together he snorted, "Lets go then punk."

beetlemon pounded his fists together creating sparks. "thunder fist!!"he yelled as he went to punch veemon.

Lunging at Beetlemon he grabbed his fist and pulled him back. Turning he jumped for him, "Vee headbutt"

grabbing veemon by the head he quickly responded. "thunder fist!"he called as he slammed his fist into veemons back watching bolts of lightning explode from the impact.

Falling back he hit the ground and rolled a bit, standing back up he ran at him again lunging one fist partially before he rammed it into his chest.

coughing up some blood he threw veemon to the side. "you little...you think you have a chance with her? you're dead wrong!"

"I don't care if I have a chance with her or not. But I refuse to stand around and watch a drunk punk disrespect her." He retorted dry.

"heh big talk from a little guy...."he smirked. "you don't have the power to back up those words!"he added. doru ran over to veemon. "please stop! you'll transform at this rate!"she begged."you don't have to worry about him! I'm used to it by now!"

Veemon shrugged avoiding her gaze. "Yeah well this little guy made you bleed."

"veemon stop!"she said taking his arm in her hands. "yeah? I've had worse happen to me...."beetlemon smirked.

Growling he flinched back and took another step forward, "Just wait till I get my hands on you!"

doru freaked out knowing that what she was about to do could cause a chain effect and cause him to change but atleast he wouldn't kill j.p. she ran the odds through her head. they were too high. groaning she ran infront of veemon still in her human form and pressed her lips to his trying to calm him down.

Veemon leaned back a bit once he felt lips against his. He closed his eyes and inhaled a bit, "W-what...?"

"veemon...."doru sighed feeling a bit breathless. "a-are you calm now?"

Nodding slow he shook his head and huffed a bit, "Yeah..."

doru looked him up and down all over not noticing that the others had taken j.p and cleared out. "y-you feel okay? its amazing you didn't change on contact....."she said feeling tears sting her eyes. "are you okay?"

Tilting his head he nodded, "I'm fine and yeah I feel okay... maybe it still needs time to develop further?"

doru looked down. her bangs hid her face making the tears that she was crying invisible. "yeah....."she said before smacking him. "y-you idiot!!"she said looking up.

Veemon held the spot she smacked with his hand "Hey what was that for!"

sobbing she looked away. "y-you could have ignored it! I was so scared veemon!"she cried hiding her face in her hands.

Sighing he bit his lip and nudged her slightly, "I'm sorry Doru.... don't cry.. please..?"

running a hand through her hair she sighed not bothering to wipe away her tears. "this....everything....I hate it so much.....you don't deserve any of the problems you have to deal with now...."she said sadly.

Veemon shrugged a bit and climbed up on her back. Setting his chin on her shoulder he looked to her, "Hey it's alright I'll learn to live with it. Nothing comes easy."

doru nodded. "yeah....I guess..."
