Dancing with flowers

Misa shruged. "yeah....he told me something else about a contract between the dragon and the one they want to protect but I didn't pay attention!"she giggled. "so....you pretty much don't get a say in who you marry right? do you get into many scraps with other...ten..ten....tenga thingys??"she asked as she walked in front of him.

Hiro nodded slow and traced a hand over the brim of the fence they were walking next to. "Well pretty much that's how it goes. At least for the heir. His vassals are usually paired with those from other clans or they find who ever they are attracted to. Usually once the girl or guy turns 16 is when more demons not just tengu go after them to try and claim them. That's the only time fights happen. The last time I got into a fight is when a kitsune was going after someone whom my brother was supposed to marry. He was ill and she needed the protection."

Misa nodded. "wow....I hope my partner is like that....I don't wanna have to do the fighting all on my own..."she smiled. "someone strong ya know? I'll search far and wide if I have to!"she said making a promise to herself out loud so hiro was her witness.

Hiro pulled the hood over his head and smiled some, "Heh well I hope you find what you're looking for. Do you have to have a partner or do you just want one?"

she let out a long sigh. "no I need one to live....I've got three weeks now that I'm developing...if I don't get one then I don't live...."she sighed. "but ya know it shouldn't be that hard...my friend lunestrick would gladly help me out....and I could go with mocha...for the whole fighting thing...aint no way I'm going gay for that girl!"she laughed. "then again...maybe I'm just meant to fade away..."she mumbled.

Moved his elbow to nudge her arm, shaking his head he looked toward her. "Don't say that, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have a friend or maybe even be alive right now."

Misa nodded with a slight nod. "I guess I'm just worried is all....wanna know what my mom used to say when I used to get worried? she used to say that I was in love! how funny is that huh?"she said with a serious tone at first but then she went all random.

Blinking a couple times his eyes wandered along the rows of houses, "Love eh? Why'd she say that?" The whole dragon thing was new to him and well other then the other occasional kitsunes and various other demons. Dragons remained quite new.

"donno....she always told me that though...and now....I'd rather not know what she meant and remember her than not remember at all. ya know?"Misa asked in a sweet tone.

"Yeah I guess that'd be a good way to go." His fingers were fumbling with a lighter in his pocket while his mind ventured else where for a few moments. "I can't believe how late it's gotten. We've basically been out all day.

she nodded. "yeah..."said said before she looked over at him for a second before looking back. most would think that she liked him but nope. she was thinking of how much the preps would hate her when she went back to school. "what are you thinking about?"

Look to her for a moment and shrugged a bit, "Just my family...or how ever much of it is left anyway. You see my older brother never had a kid and he died a year ago...so the leader of the clan is supposed to be me. But I didn't accept it....and they wont choose anyone else."

"b-but thats horible!! you should go back home and see them! or else I'll find out where they are and drag you there hiro!"she said as she waved her arms in the air.

"Horrible? How is it horrible....well aside from the clan falling apart..and not knowing if I'm the only one left. It isn't that horrible." He muttered as he looked her. "What would it matter anyway...."

Misa sighed as she looked up into his eyes. "hiro....just because you don't want something doesn't mean you can run away. I mean...I never wanted to be an asakura but I'm still here right? I never wanted an abusive boyfriend but I didn't run away."she said with a slight smile though you could never be able to tell.

Hiro looked away from her gaze knowing she usually had that persuading people to do something attitude. "Yeah I know but I mean hell I can't run a clan. How can I take care of them if I can't even take care of myself."

Misa took his hand and smiled up at him. "c'mon now! you've got friends who can help you with that! you always have me to count on, and all of my friends would jump at the chance to help you! c'mon hiro....don't act like that!"

Looking down he gave her hand a light squeeze, "Heh thanks... I know you would. Guess I'll head there in the morning."

she giggled as she hopped up and down. "yay! thats the spirit hiro! heyhey I wanna come too! can I?? huh huh?? can I?" misa said sounding like a little kid.

Hiro laughed in amusement and nodded, "I don't see why not. How long can you be gone?" He wasn't sure if the trip would take only a few days or longer so best find out in case.

"it doesn't matter! I come and go as I want. no one will miss me at all!"she giggled

"Heh alright so we'll head out in the morning." He replied feeling somewhat relieved that he didn't have to go back alone.

"yay!"she smiled as she jumped in the air. "hey hiro! race ya to my house!!"she said as she darted off. she wanted to see just how fast she was with her "new" powers.

Hiro jumped and took off down the street, he was pretty fast on his own though he was a very creative boy. Grabbing a pole he spun around and flung himself forward, leaving a small gap between then. "You're gonna lose."

Misa blinked and growled. "wanna bet? c'mon tengu boy lets see what you've got!"she laughed as she darted off even faster than before, but not by much.

Hiro picked up the pace and slid up toward her side, grinning he inched ahead slightly. "I think I'm winning that bet!" He called.

Misa strugled to get back up with hiro and eventually did but kept falling behind. "d-damn! how much energy do you have?!"she gasped as she tried to pass him for the eleventh time. she looked ahead to see her house was coming up. "alright! prepare to each my dust!!"she laughed as she bolted forward determined to win.

Hiro laughed and turned around, running backwards before spinning on his foot. "C'mon then!"

misa blinked and looked down. "how can you even do that?"she cried. "is that like some kind of power you never told me about?" she asked before she stoped and though. it had just occured to her that dragons could fly in their animal form so maybe in their human form they get super jumps. she decided to try it. well it worked!....but she fell flat on her face after.

Hiro paused after he heard the thump, keeping the laugh to himself he jumped on the fence and walked over. Jumping down he poked her with his foot. "Well see I've known I was a tengu all my life, so I've had years to mess around with my strengths. You my dear, have not."
