allow me to tell you a tale, all but forgoten by time. remembered only by those whom have the pleasure or dismay of encountering the shattered fragments of a lost soul.
long ago, around the time that the great goddess rose to power and lifted her children into the sky there was a war between the benevolent demons that existed with their own chosen races. one such demon strayed from the path, deeming himself a god and forcing his people into his own self made religion.
this demon, whom waded in shadows; commanding them as he went, demanded two of his race to watch over sacred strings that connected us all. for a time things seemed peaceful, until he grew greedy and restless of his treasure. he would demand that his priestess, and a being of her choice be drowned in the sacred waters at the age of 15.
terrified of her fate the girl fled, eventually meeting with a shadow of a boy. having been cast from his tribe he had been wandering the world for a home. the girl took pitty on him and cared for the shattered man.
again as the years past things seemed peaceful, until they were both found, and drowned together.
such was the way the demon ruled his people. each blood moon the reborn child of the priestess and the boy would be sacrificed. all the while the restless soul of the original girl, seis watch nervously waiting until one could see her and change the fate of her people.
it seemed like milenia until the demon passed away, leaving only the most devoted of his followers to cary out his will. and they did indeed cary out his will, that is until a hero of time arose to protect the kingdom and strike down a great evil with the aid of great sages.
around that time a child was born whom could see theghostly seis.seis warned the girl to run and never look back....but before the girl could she was captured, and forced to pick a young boy to be sacrificed with her. in her hatred she chose a boy; the head priest's son.
though the boy screamed and protested his throat was cut and he was cast into the murke waters, soon to be followed by the screaming child whom had her head covered in a sack and her feet tied to a rock before being cast into the waters.
not much else is known about what happened next, but it is said that the girl's soul was shattered into three pieces, each clinging to a piece of the boy's soul draging him with her across three outcomes.
they say if you ever encounter one of the girls you'll notice something...the extremes of personalities. one dipped in hatred, one dipped in remembrance and one dipped in life and joy.
