"Oh please." She replied with a roll of her eyes, "That sword of yours is all bugged up right? What is it, lighting or something? Do me a favor and don't fry us - its a cramped space."

"Tch, so you do have a sense of humor after all." Suddenly creature after creature lunged at them. Heru responded by slashing horizontally through the air, trying fry entire waves of the various insects with a single slash. The lightning flashed bright, but it was only enough to obliterate the immediate foes and served to enrage and irritate the remaining at seeing their companions fall. For mere bugs, they appeared to be quite distraught at their kin dying, almost as if they were actually one giant family.

As they continued to swarm Heru slashed back and forth violently, each time releasing more lightning, killing six to seven each time. It was simply not enough, there were far too many and they seemed to come endlessly.

All Yuki's punches could do was knock them back. She wished she hadn't used all her weapons in that earlier fight against Lendax. She let out a bit of a gowl. "Aggea!" Not know nimh were the other was, but knowing she was somewhere in thi place.
There was a near immedate reasponce of "Ueah?"
"Earth make me something. Heru is kicking my bunghole." She called, sending another monster flying.
"Itll be kind of heavey....there's no pumice around to make it with."
"Just do it. And be careful! Do something stupid with that earth magic and you could collapse the whole thing on top of us."
The conversation was being heald while they fought. She should have given Aggea the warning earlier. She still didnt know where the other was, but apparently the other knew her location, because the earth made a crackle in front of her, and a knife like stone figure arose from it, being followed by an few more. Another beast made a lundge as the formed, and Yuki swing them from her perifreals reached down and grabbed the first one. In that same movement she slashed the beast as it came near.

A smile flickered across Heru's face. "I'm kicking your bunghole? Does that mean this is now a competition? Alright, sure, first to disappear loses." He twirled his sword in his hand to blast another group of monsters out of his way. He glanced over at the Puppet Master through holes in the wall of insects surrounding them. He was able to see him smiling pleasantly as his abominations swarmed the trio with ever increasing savagery. "Hey Yuki, I thought of a better challenge." He pointed towards the man with his sword. "First to wipe that smug smile of that bastard's face is the winner."

Yuki bent down to grab a second knife before she could get attacked again. "Please," She said sarcastically, "should we time it too so it's not so easy." The last part of the sentence came through a grunt, as she was slashing through a group that tried to come at her

"No need to feel rushed, I don't want you to get sloppy now." Heru thrust his sword in the man's general direction. Surprisingly, the bugs moved out of the way as it passed them. Heru wondered in shock why this was until he noticed that the Puppet Master had leaped out of the way with apparent ease. He continued to make no threatening moves, just smiled benignly at his victims.

Yuki broke off from the other, quickly attaching the spare stone knives to some of her hiding spots. Aggy was right... These were heavy enough to cause an issue with her usual balance of speed, but she needed the weaponry. Fighting a battle like this would be pointless without blades or blunt objects of any sorts in her hands.
She attacked many of he monsters in a fly by attack. It wasn't enough to kill them, but to get them out of the way. Heru attacked the Puppet Master, Yuki knew that she had to get there herself... But she had this thought that was bothering her too much.

After his failed assault, Heru became pressured by the beasts and retreated back to where Yuki and Aggea were. "He's too fast for my strikes, you got any ideas?"

"Something's weird." Yuki murmured.
Aggea tilted her head slightly in Yuki's direction, "What do you mean?"

"Hmm, I feel it too...." Heru muttered. Something was nagging at his skull. This situation was...off...Heru couldn't quite put his finger on it.

The Puppet King smiled at them, an remainder completely still, while the monsters around him moved around the group. They weren't attacking anymore. Both Yuki and Heru were thinking hard, do the group became silent.
Lost in her own thought, Aggy spurted out suddenly, "it's too bad. I thought he was a nice daddy... Like before he was so protective of the monsters.. But now he's just letting you slash through, fry, punch, kick, all of his babies. I guess he isn't a good daddy... It's a shame because I was really starting to like the guy."

Heru's eyebrows met together in a frown. "She's right, this all started to avenge one of his pets... now he's using them as tools. It doesn't fit...it's almost as if..." His eyes widened mid-sentence as the revelation shocked him. "No... that's bad..."

There was a gleam in Yuki's eyes. "They're fakes. All we're doing is crushing puppets. If there are real beasts, they've got us stuck. And the real things are around. We won't be able to tell them apart. And I'm sure the real things are much stronger."

Heru grunted. Yuki confirmed what he was thinking. "That means its just that much more risky to strike out against him. The puppet master just stood where he was, chuckling. "Oooho, good job, you figured that much out, I'll commend you on that, but it doesn't help you, not one bit, heheh." As if to merely prove the puppet master's point, Heru struck down several more of the creatures who fell to the ground like marionette's with their strings cut to be replaced by more. They were truly endless.

Aggea looked around, "I can light them all up?"
The other two yelled at her in perfect unison, screaming a negative response at her question. She winced from the noise, "Alright, alright I was just asking."
"Under absolutely no circumstances do you light anything up without asking us first." Yuki scolded.
The Puppet Master chuckled. It appeared as id he was holding off his beasts, fake and real, to watch the show. The group seemed to amuse him.
